I started this out, as basically a rough version of the first half of the track. I liked the driving, gritty-yet-ethereal quality it had. Then XT3RM1N8R really leveled this up by adding a second section, layered with vocal chops and harmonies. It took us a while to get the mix just right for both of these different sections.

The single artwork was created from a photo of a stairwell at an apartment complex in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

I will never not get goosebumps at the post-interlude progression. Putting together the vocal chops on this was extremely fun, though the whistle-like part is absolutely haunting and hard to forget.
